Civil Aeronautics Board
The Civil Aeronautics Board, an independent regulatory commission, was originally established under the Civil Aeronautics Act of 1938. Its functions were terminated or transferred to other agencies beginning in 1966, with remaining functions transferred to Transportation Secretary in 1985.
